Don Twito, 72, Albert Lea

The funeral service for Don M. Twito of Albert Lea will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2007, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Albert Lea.
The Reverend Marcia Hall will officiate.
Burial will be in Lime Creek Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea and one hour before the service at the church.
Don died Saturday, March 3, 2007, at his home in Albert Lea.
He was 72 years old.
Don Mahlon Twito was born Aug. 9, 1934, the second child to Mike and Gilma (Helgeson) Twito in Winnebago County, IA.
Don married the love of his life,
Beverly Gayle Johnson on Aug. 15, 1954 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Scarville, IA.
The couple lived in Emmons and Owatonna, settling in Albert Lea in 1971.
Don worked for Interstate Power Company (now Alliant Energy) for 44 years, retiring in November, 1996.
He enjoyed golf, bowling, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, camping, Minnesota Twins baseball, Vikings football, playing cards, and spending time with his family and friends.
Don is survived by his wife, Beverly of Albert Lea; two daughters:
Barbara (Mike) Roe of Spicer and Carole (Jim) Dillemuth of Roseville; six granddaughters:
Brandy (Nick), Nichole, Kindahl, Whitney, Natalie, and Noelle; two great-granddaughters:
Lily and Braiden; brother, Dean (Ramona) Twito of Lake Mills, Iowa; brother-in-law, Robert (Ardis) Johnson of Lake Mills, IA; sisters-in-law:
Arlotte (Al) Thies of Red Wing, JoAnn (Ron) Haroldson of Grand Rapids, and Barbara (Ray) Tweed of Lake Mills, Iowa; several nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his parents.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
