Donald Paulson, 84, Bloomington

Donald E. Paulson, age 84, of Bloomington, formerly of Albert Lea, was born April 23, 1922 to Nels and Carrie (Knudsen) Paulson at Sleepy Eye.
Donald graduated from South Dakota State University. He served as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army during World War II, receiving the Silver Star.
He taught agriculture in Albert Lea Public Schools for 18 years, after which he served for 20 years as executive director of the Minnesota Pork Producers Association.
Donald was a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner.
He was united in marriage to Elinor Norgaard in Albert Lea in 1949.
To this union, three children were born: John (Kathleen) of Bloomington, Grant (Debra) of Eden Prairie, and Jane (Gregory) Shaughnessy of Maple Plain.
He is survived by his wife; children; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents; one sister; and three brothers.
The memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, at Christ Presbyterian Church, 70th Street at Highway 100
in Edina.
Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the church in lieu of flowers.
