On Aug. 18, the Obama administration in essence issued an administrative amnesty to illegal aliens. Illegals in line for deportation will now, if found to have committed no other crime — minus entering this country illegally (no longer considered a crime?) — will be granted work permits and allowed to stay in this country permanently. This is a back door amnesty signed into effect without Congress’ consent by King Obama.

The results will greatly worsen the plight of unemployed Americans, cost local and state governments millions in services including the schooling of the children of these illegals, and further erode and continue to make a joke of our immigration laws. The economic recession will claim even more Americans as its victims as these Americans compete head-to-head with illegals in order to feed, clothe and house their families. The Obama administration’s pitiful hope is that, in appeasing the open-borders types, he’ll gain in his approval numbers. The president is desperate.

A decisive majority of Americans are opposed to our unprecedented rate of immigradtion, and the president’s actions only alienate them.
