WELLS &8212; The No. 6 United South Central wrestling team easily outdistanced the competition at its own tournament Saturday.

The Rebels finished first with 207 points followed by Madelia-Truman with 181.

Zach Wigern got the Rebels off to a strong start with a 6-2 win over Jared Franke of Hayfield to take the 103-pound bracket.

Fifth-ranked Seth Amberg had little problem at 130 pinning his way to the title finishing with a pin of Hayfield&8217;s Jerrod Faulhaber in 41 seconds.

No. 10 Jake Bonsack won a 4-3 decision in the finals at 145 for the Rebels and Brian Wood won at 152 by forfeit.

Preston Staloch (119), Daniel Sandt (135), Sam Stevermer (160), Mike Linder (215) and Cassidy Carlson (285) all finished in the runner-up position for the Rebels.
