Glen Jacobson, 76

The funeral service for Glen Kermit Jacobson will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 13, at St. Theodore Catholic Church, Albert Lea. The Rev. James Berning and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Burial will be in St. Theodore Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Bonnerup Funeral Chapel in Albert Lea, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., and one hour before the service at the church.
Glen died on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006, at Albert Lea Medical Center. He was 76 years old.
Glen was born in Winnebago County, Iowa, on June 26, 1930, the son of Tommy and Stena (Rustad) Jacobson. He was a graduate of Lake Mills High School.
On Dec. 31, 1978, Glen was united in marriage with Colleen Hoffman Moe at St. Theodore Catholic Church. They farmed near Leland, Iowa, until his retirement in 1991 when they moved to Albert Lea. He was a proud and active member of AA for 37 years.
Glen and Colleen have fond memories of the winters spent in Mesa, Ariz., for the past 11 years. Glen enjoyed fishing, playing cards, e-mailing friends and family and surfing the Internet.
Glen is survived by his wife, Colleen of Albert Lea; three children: Karen Moe of Rock Dell, Minn., Kenneth (Cindy) Moe of Rochester, Minn., Karole Moe of Boston, Mass.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lyla Ferley; one brother, Arlo Jacobson.
