The Albert Lea Open is organized by Austin-based J&J Disc Golf. For every entrant, $1 will go toward the Flying Lea Disc Golf Club’s effort to raise $6,000 for new baskets at Bancroft Bay Park.
The club began the drive in March and passed the $1,000 mark this week. Attendance has been higher than ever during league, which is 4 p.m. Sundays.
