Delores Twito, 78, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Delores V. Twito, age 78, of rural Albert Lea, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at Round Prairie Lutheran Church. The Rev. Tammy Dahlvang will officiate. Interment will be in the Bear Lake Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at the church.
Delores died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006, at Rochester Methodist Hospital, after battling
complications of leukemia.
Delores Viola Twito was born June 6, 1928, to Adolph and Frieda (Yost) Johnson in Nunda Township. She had been employed at Wilson & Company, Queen Products, and Playhouse Toys Sales and Delivery. Delores then attended and graduated from Ritters School of Cosmetology. On June 27, 1948, she was united in marriage to Kermith Twito at Bear Lake Lutheran Church. Delores had been a beautician for 30 years and for 26 years had owned and operated &8220;A New Look Styling Salon.&8221; She organized and was the secretary of the 50th Engineer&8217;s Combat Unit, of which Kermith was a member. Delores was a member of the Southside Business Association and Round Prairie Lutheran Church and would help anyone that needed any kind of assistance.
Survivors include her husband, Kermith; children: Sandy Atteberry of Tyler, Texas, Rolly Twito and Paddy of Albert Lea, Rick Twito at home, and Roger Twito of Nashville, Tenn.; sister, Marvel Dockwell of Albert Lea; nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents.
She was loved and will be missed by many.
