Three silent auctions are taking place this week to benefit the American Cancer Society, at US Bank, Wells Fargo Bank and Security Bank of Minnesota.
A silent auction will also be held at the Relay for Life from 5:30 to 9:45 p.m. Friday night.
The auction features all sorts of items, from bicycles signed by performers at this year&8217;s Freeborn County Fair to hockey sticks signed by Minnesota Wild players, golf irons, a garage door opener, handmade Christmas figures, gift certificates and baskets and a gas weed eater &8212; all donated by local businesses.
&8220;It&8217;s just been wonderful, all the support from local businesses donating their money and items,&8221; said Bob Syverson, who is organizing the auctions along with his wife, Tiffany.
All the proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
At the Relay for Life, volunteers will also take names and hold a drawing for a free trip to Las Vegas at about 7:15 p.m. The trip is also sponsored by local businesses.
