1989 — The Albert Lea City Council voted to deny rezoning of West Sunset Street from single family district to a neighborhood business district.

1979 — A Tribune editorial commented about the Susan B. Anthony dollar coin and its lack of popularity with American consumers.

1959 — More than 4,000 people attended the second annual Steamerama at Bennett’s Pasture near Moscow.
