1991 — The Faribault High School Falcons football team defeated the Albert Lea High School Tigers with a score of 25-18 in a game played at Hammer Field.

1981 — Albert Lea’s Grapevine Twist Square Dance Club was observing its 30th year with a special dance at the Family Y.

1941 — Albert Lea’s Committee of One Hundred was sponsoring a three-day appearance by the Black Hills Passion Play at the Albert Lea High School Auditorium.
