Everett Larson, 91

The funeral service for Everett Alverne Larson will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 23, 2006, at Hayward Lutheran Church. The Rev. John Malm will officiate. Burial will be in Hayward Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bonnerup Funeral Chapel and one hour before the service at the church.

Everett died on Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at St. John’s Lutheran Home in Albert Lea. He was 91 years old.

Everett was born in Radcliff, Iowa, on Oct. 11, 1914, the son of Erwin and Alice (Lunning) Larson. He was a 1931 graduate of Radcliff High School. He lived most of his life in the Hayward area and in Albert Lea since 1970.

On Aug. 10, 1939, he was united in marriage with Pearl Anderson in Hayward, Minn. They were members of Hayward Lutheran Church where Everett had served on the church council, ushered and been on other church committees.

Everett had farmed for many years, worked for Freeborn Foods, driven bulk milk truck, scale operator for the Minnesota State Highway Department, and worked as a greeter for Wal-Mart for 10 years. He had been city clerk for Hayward and a member of teamsters local.

Everett enjoyed riding along with the Minnesota Highway Patrol, car rides with family, watching western movies, backyard wildlife, yard work and being with his pet dog, Sassy.

Everett is survived by three children: Thomas (Becky Boelter) Larson of Albert Lea, Marianna (Bob) Rennock of Fond Du Lac, Wis., Judith Booher of Savage; 12 grandchildren: Joshua, Seth, Leah (Chris), Aaron, Sarah (Eric), Rebekah, Jonathan, Anna, Andrea (Jon), Alecia, Angela, and Michael; nine great-grandchildren: Tavis, Madison, Krista, Britney, Brianna, Dylan, Mollie, Marissa, Joslyn; four brothers and sisters: Doris (Kenny) Benesh of Austin, Red (Ruth) Larson of Austin, Daryl (Pat) Larson of Marshfield, Wis., Lucille (Bill) Stephenson of Aurora, Colo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pearl; three brothers: Luverne, Jewel, and Curtis Larson; one sister, Ethyl Fliss.
