GLENVILLE &045; It took the Glenville-Emmons baseball team six innings to find its offense, but Justin Flattum made up for it by dominating on the mound from the opening pitch.
Flattum shutout St. Clair allowing just three hits in the Wolverines’ 7-0 win. He struck out six and walked just two.
&8220;He pitched very well tonight and got ahead of the hitters,&8221; said G-E head coach Louie Toulouse. &8220;He really kept us in the game until our offense finally decided to show up.&8221;
G-E would score one run in the first inning when Wade Flattum led off with a triple and was driven in by Justin Flattum.
The Wolverines would not get another hit until the sixth inning when Logan Hansen and Aaron Wuerflein picked up key RBI hits in the six-run frame.
The victory improved the Wolverines to 8-4 on the season as they prepare to travel to Austin to face Lyle/Pacelli tonight.
