Diane Kay Brower went home to live with her Creator and his angels on Monday, April 10, 2006, with her family by her side.

She was an amazing wife, mother, mother-in-law, grand-mother, sister, sister-in-law and friend to everyone she knew.

She was born June 27, 1944, in Starbuck, Minn. She was the chosen daughter of Raymond and Viola Morrison. She later moved to Northwood, Iowa, and graduated from Northwood Kensett High School. She went on to attend and graduate from Hamilton School of Business in Mason City, Iowa.

She had numerous jobs, from working at a real estate office to working for a doctor at the university.

She was working for social services when she met her future husband, Robert Brower. They married in 1965 in Northwood. Their marriage produced three children, their son Daniel and their two daughters, Melissa and Joy. Robert was transferred to St. Anthony, Idaho, for a short time, and then to Orofino, where they spent the rest of their lives together. Diane was employed by the U.S. Forest Service in 1984 and retired in 2005. She last worked in the engineering department doing cartographic technology. She loved her job and the friends she made over the years.

She loved being a grandmother to her grandkids, Hunter and Brenna. Her greatest joy in life was playing and spending as much time as she could with them. One of her favorite experiences was attending a live Mariners game with her friend, Norm Schluessler, as she was an avid Mariners fan. She also enjoyed many wonderful times with her life-long close girlfriends.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Brower; her daughter, Melissa Brower; her daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Ryan Hawkins and their children, Hunter and Brenna Hawkins; her brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Patti Morrison; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jane and Ron Larsen and their three children, Emily, Eric and Scott; her half-sister, Nancy Osterbauer; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Viola Morrison, and her son Daniel.

Diane had the biggest heart and the most love to offer and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She helped out everyone she knew and was a foster parent for many years.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Orofino Tabernacle Church. A celebration of her life will be at the VFW building in Orofino after the service.
