GLENVILLE &045;&160;Lindsey Lorenzen gave up just two hits and the Glenville-Emmons offense scored 11 runs in the first three innings to down Medford, 11-0, in five innings.
Lorenzen struck out seven but did walk six to pick up the victory for G-E.
&8220;She struggled with her control a little bit, but she got the job done,&8221; said G-E head coach Lisa Ziebell.
The Wolverines did not have to make a lot of plays in the field, but they made the ones they had to without committing an error on the night.
After scoring five runs in the first two innings the Wolverines exploded for six in the third led by Kylie Indrelie’s bases loaded single to drive in a pair.
Chelsey Ziebell paced the Wolverine attack with a pair of hits including a double and a RBI while Jordan Claussen scored three times and stole four bases.
Lorenzen, Ashley Lau and Danielle Cooper also drove in runs in the game.
&8220;We were aggressive early and the girls went after the ball,&8221; said coach Ziebell.
&8220;It was fun to watch and it was good confidence for the girls.&8221;
The win improved the Wolverines’ record to 3-2 overall as they travel to face LeRoy-Ostrander tonight in conference action.
