Darryl Grant Rosenberg, age 64, of Bonita Springs, Fla., died Friday, Jan. 13, 2006, in Ft. Myers, Fla. He was born March 15, 1941, in Albert Lea, to Milton G. and Dorothy J. Rosenberg (Aspenson). Darryl graduated from Albert Lea High School, Austin Junior College and Mankato State University. He spent several years as a vocational rehabilitation counselor for the State of Minnesota in Mankato and St. Peter. In 1984 he moved to Ft. Myers, Fla. where he had ownership interest in residential retail lighting stores in Ft. Myers and Bonita Springs.
Darryl is survived by his son Kirby of Bonita Springs, Fla. and Kirby’s mother Marilyn Osborn of Rochester; special friend Rhea Kantor of Bonita Springs, Fla.; brothers Tom (Mary) of Northfield, Minn. and John (Nancy) of Arlington, Va.; nephew and nieces Eric Rosenberg, Lisa (Mike) Prow, and Kara Rosenberg; aunts and uncles Ruth (Dolly) and Paul Levisen of Albert Lea, Harold Aspenson, Lillian Aspenson, June Aspenson, Betty Aspenson and Vivian Sumerwell; numerous cousins and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in memory of Darryl Rosenberg to the American Stroke Association, P.O. Box 21475, St. Petersburg, FL 33742. Memorial service to be held at Grace Lutheran Church, Albert Lea, at 11 a.m. on March 11.
