Century sweeps Tigers boys’ tennis

The Albert Lea boys’ tennis team managed to take just five games from Rochester Century Thursday in a 7-0 loss in Rochester.
Century, which features one of the best players in the state in Eric Frueh, who finished ranked third in the state last season, got by the Tigers with ease.
Frueh defeated senior Kyle See-Rockers at No. 1 singles 6-0, 6-0 and Albert Lea took just one game at singles. Freshman Trevor Herfindahl lost 6-1, 6-0 to Cody Narveson at No. 4 singles.
Tigers freshmen Tate Tufte and Kyle Zogg lost 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3 singles to Eric Bornholdt and Ryo Kawashim.
Albert Lea plays Northfield Monday in Albert Lea.
