Margaret Ellis, 84, of Owatonna

Margaret Eunice Ellis, 84, of Owatonna, died Monday, Jan. 23, 2006, at Owatonna Hospital.
She was born July 30, 1921, in New Richland, the daughter of Oscar and Ella (Sunde) Evenson. Margaret grew up on a farm near New Richland with her family.
Margaret married George Ellis April 20, 1947, in New Richland. The couple lived in Owatonna following their marriage and operated the Owatonna Garbage Company. After raising her children, she worked at what is now Infinia at Owatonna.
Margaret enjoyed gardening, baking and cooking. She was a member of the Eagle’s Auxiliary and Trinity Lutheran Church. She was active at Trinity as a member of the Dorcas Circle and helping with the bulletins and church papers.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Ellis of Robbinsdale, Dale (and Karen) Ellis of New Richland; daughters, Nancy (and Rodney) Lewis of Rochester, Cynthia (and David) Burmeister of Waterford, Wis.; grandchildren, Christopher (and Brooke Hoffstatter) Tripp, Maren Kliewer, Rebecca (and Matthew) Martin, Andrew (and Celeste) Lewis, Cassandra Lewis, Dale Burmeister, Heather Burmeister; four great grandchildren; brothers, Stuart (and Dorothy) Evenson of Albert Lea, Oswald (and Marjorie) Evenson
of Albert Lea; sisters, Helen Mork of Albert Lea, Lenore (and Robert) Johnson of Shakopee, Lois (and Richard) Wasmoen of Albert Lea and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George and one granddaughter, Jamie.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 25, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Michaelson Funeral Home and Thursday, Jan. 26, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 26, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the LeSueur River Cemetery, rural New Richland.
