Cora Williamson, 87, of Albert Lea

Funeral services for Cora Jeanette Williamson, of Albert Lea, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, 2006, at the First Lutheran Church. The Rev. John Holt will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 at Bonnerup Funeral Service, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mrs. Williamson died Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, at St. John’s Lutheran Home. She was 87 years of age.
Cora was born May 2, 1918, the daughter of Thor and Rachael (Severson) Thorson. She attended country school in Freeborn County. On Oct. 24, 1941 she was united in marriage to Cecil Williamson at the First Lutheran Church.
Cora was a member of the First Lutheran Church and was active in the church circle. She had been employed for many years at the American Gas Co., and at the Hotel Albert.
Cora was an avid reader and enjoyed canning, baking, and spending time with her family. She was known for her great sense of humor.
Cora is survived by her children; Tom Williamson of Albert Lea, and Bonnie Williamson of New Richmond, Wis. There are seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Two sisters; Thelma Bighley and Ann Kycek, both of Albert Lea.
Cora was preceded in death by her parents; husband Cecil and brother Oscar Thorson.
