Consuelo Ramirez, 83, Albert lea

Services for Consuelo Bertha Ramirez will be held at 10:30 a.m.,
Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005, at St. Theodore Catholic Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. Jim Berning and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Burial will be in St. Theodore Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Monday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea and one hour before the service at the church.
Consuelo died at her home on Friday, Nov. 11, 2005. She was 83 years old.
Consuelo was born in Vera Cruz, Mexico, on Sept. 17, 1922, the daughter of Lorenzo and Elvira (Cisneros) Alvarado. In May of 1954, Consuelo was united in marriage with Fidel D. Ramirez in Mason City, Iowa. They are members of St. Theodore Catholic Church.
During her life, Consuelo had lived in Illinois and Minnesota. She had worked for Zenith Corporation in Chicago, Ill., Land O’ Lakes in Albert Lea, but mostly she was a loving homemaker.
She enjoyed quilting and particularly loved spending time with her family.
Consuelo is survived by her husband, Fidel of Albert Lea; three children,
Marina Gari (Jack F. C.) Gillard of Glenville, Daniel David (Louell) Gari of San Diego, Calif., and Michael S. (Juanita) Ramirez of Derby, KS; 10 grandchildren,
Lisa (Trevor) DeRaad of Albert Lea, Jason P. Gaard of Albert Lea, Jordan P. Vollmer of Albert Lea, Richard L. (Raquel) Gari of San Diego, Calif., Jessica (Phil) Smith of San Diego, Calif., Joshua (Sarah) Gari of San Diego, Calif., Seth Gari of San Diego, Calif., Michael P. Ramirez, Jr. of Derby, Kan., Salvador J. (Crystal) Ramirez of Derby, Kan., and Jeffrey O. Ramirez of Derby, Kan.; 12 great-grandchildren, Slater, Phoenix,
Aubrey, Caleb, Peyton, Jacob, Christian, Ashley, Austin, Cruzito, Carlos, and Mia; one sister, Alberta Guerra of Albert Lea; one brother, John (Teresa) Alvarado of Albert Lea; one brother-in-law, Peter (Diane) Ramirez of Eagan; eight sisters-in-law, Sarah (Fred) Rodriguez of Arlington, Texas, Helen (Peter) Salazar, Esther (Tony) Lopez, Connie (Dan) Martinez, Rita (William) Koubele, Beatrice (Merlin) Lundell, Delores (Abel) Alside, and Vera Ramirez, all of St. Paul, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Richard P. Gari; one daughter, Freda Gari Vollmer; one sister, Shirley (Guadalupe) Alvarado; one brother, Miguel Alvarado; and one sister-in-law, Patricia Alvarado.
