The Conger 4-H Club met on Sunday, Sept. 11, at the Conger Community Center. All project records needed to be turned in by Sept. 19. Premium checks for projects were handed out to those who turned in their records. Auction premium checks will be mailed out by the Extension Office at a later date. The club placed first in the sales of Meat and Miscellaneous Raffle Tickets during the fair. The club was very well represented at the Minnesota State Fair in both livestock and nonlivestock exhibits. Adults were encouraged to become a member of the Livestock Committee and the Executive Board for Conger’s 4-H district. Please let the Extension Office know if you are interested. National 4-H week is Oct. 2 through Oct. 8. A presentation will be given at the Alden-Conger School to encourage people to join. Our next meeting will be on Sunday, Oct. 9, at 4 p.m. at the Alden-Conger School. The club will be electing officers for 2012. Following the meeting, they will have a hayride with the Alden 4-H Club.
