Lavonne Schroeder, 83, Rochester

LaVonne “Bonnie” Schroeder, age 83, formerly of Austin, died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2005, at Samaritan Bethany Heights in Rochester where she was a resident.
Bonnie was born June 20, 1922, in Austin to Charles and Beulah (Cambern) Stephenson, and in 1941 she graduated from Rushford High School. In November 1947 she was united in marriage to George L. Schroeder. He preceded her in death on Aug. 13, 1997.
Bonnie was a Sears sales associate for 15 years, a Red Cross blood donor-50 gallons, Senior Companion Program volunteer &045; Mower County, member of Crane Community Chapel for 45 years, member of the Senior Citizens, TOPS, and the Austin Moose Club.
Survivors include her children:
Georgia (Gary) Myers of Lake City, Pamela (Steven) Milde of Mantorville, Kerry (Sidney) Schroeder of Claremont, and Rolfe (Susan) Schroeder of Dodge Center; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles (Rebecca) Stephenson of Albert Lea.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, and one brother.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17, at Samaritan Bethany Heights Chapel in Rochester with the Rev. Larry Tantow officiating. Friends may call one hour before the service at the chapel on Monday. Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
The honorary casket bearers will be Matthew Schroeder, Paul Myers, David Myers and Seth Milde.
Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association.
