Early deficit too much for Glenville-Emmons softball

It took a little while for the Glenville-Emmons softball team to settle down, but by then it was too late in a 10-4 loss Monday to Caledonia/Spring Grove in Glenville.
The Wolverines (0-2) trailed 8-0 before they got on the scoreboard in the fourth inning and weren’t able to respond.
Glenville-Emmons score three runs in the fifth to make it an 8-4 game, but Caledonia pushed runs across in the sixth and seventh.
Devin Cooper went 3-for-4 while Robyn Roe went 2-for-4 with an RBI and Emily Belshan finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a double.
Kailey Davis gave up seven earned runs in seven innings on eight base hits and struck out six in the loss.
The Wolverines outhit Caledonia/Spring Grove nine to eight.
Glenville-Emmons faces Mabel-Canton Tuesday in Glenville.
