Offense arrives for USC in victory against W-E-M

United South Central senior A.J. Dreyer allowed one run on six hits in five innings of work to help keep the Rebels baseball team undefeated Monday in an 11-1, five-inning victory over Waterville-Elysian-Morristown in Waterville.
Dreyer struck out seven and walked two in his first victory of the season on the mound for USC.
Zach Wigern paced the Rebels (3-0, 2-0 Gopher) with a 3-for-3 performance and three RBIs. Dustin Dylla went 2-for-3 with two doubles and William Huper drove in two runs. Taylor Ovrebo finished 2-for-3 with a double.
“I’m happy tonight because we started to hit the ball around,” said USC head coach Pat Frank.
The Rebels tallied 13 hits in the game and broke it open in the fifth with a nine-run inning.
USC faces Blooming Prairie Thursday in Blooming Prairie.
