Admission is $6 per person for adults, and $4 for students.

Any student wearing an Albert Lea hockey jersey will be admitted for only $2.

The Outlaws are a first-year club in the NAHL, featuring a roster of 26 players from nine states and one Canadian province.

The exhibition is a homecoming of sorts for forward Cory Ellertson from Albert Lea.

Ellertson has moved up to the Junior Hockey level, after completing an outstanding career at Albert Lea High School.

During the 2004-05 season, Ellertson was a top point man for Albert Lea, helping the Tigers to the Minnesota State Class A Hockey Tournament.

Outlaws’ general manager, Rick Wesp and head coach Dave Boitz are expecting that Ellertson will provide an immediate and positive impact, in the team’s inaugural season.

The Outlaws’ opponent for the September 9th contest, the Fargo-Moorhead Jets, has etched a successful two-year history on the ice.

Fargo-Moorhead won the 2004-05 NAHL West Division Regular Season Title.

The Jets then won 10 straight playoff games, before falling to Texas, in the NAHL Robertson Cup Championship Game.

In 2005-06, North Iowa and Fargo-Moorhead will be rivals, in the newly-created Central Division of the North American Hockey League.

The Outlaws are holding preseason training in Albert Lea, because of ice availability.

Home games for the Outlaws will be played at the North Iowa Arena, on the Fairgrounds in Mason City.
