Agnes Renchin, 95, Albert Lea

The funeral service for Agnes Mary Renchin, of 1702 Hawthorne St., Albert Lea, will be

10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Theodore’s Catholic Church, Albert Lea. The Rev. Jim Berning and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Interment will be in Litomysl Cemetery,

Steele County. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea, and one hour before the service at the church.

A Prayer Service will be 7:30 p.m. Friday evening at Bonnerup Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Theodore’s Catholic Church and or Thorne Crest Retirement Center.

Agnes died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2005, at Thorne Crest Health Care Center. She was 95 years, six months, and two days old.

Agnes was born Feb. 21, 1910, at Bixby, Minn., to Joseph and Albina (Kubicek) Styndl. She attended Country School District 64 at Bixby. Agnes married Anton C. Renchin on Feb. 6, 1934, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Owatonna.

They lived at Bixby until 1950 when they moved to Albert Lea. Agnes had been a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church at Litomysl until moving to Albert Lea and then St. Theodore’s Catholic Church. She belonged to St. Theodore’s Catholic Church sewing group and the CCW.

Agnes had been a cook for Naeve Hospital, Country Kitchen, Hamburger Inn and various other restaurants in the Albert Lea Area.

She enjoyed baking, cooking and making quilts. She greatly enjoyed her family.

Agnes is survived by her five children: Florence Christian and her husband Robert of Westminster, Colo., Donald Renchin and his wife Mary Alice of Twin Lakes, Bernice King and her husband Maynard of Shakopee, Carol Becker of Hayward, and Robert Renchin and his wife Kate of Mequon, Wis.;

24 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Cupkie of Owatonna; sisters-in-law:

Leona Blow and her husband Jim of Moreno Valley, Calif., and Marie Renchin of Owatonna; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Agnes was preceded in death by her parents; Joseph and Albina Styndl; husband,

Anton Renchin; son-in-law, David Becker; daughter-in-law, Judy Renchin; granddaughter, Peggy Becker; great grandson, Aric Ballard; sisters: Albina Auers and Alice Pfeifer; brother, Albert Styndl; brothers-in-law: Melvin Cupkie, Frank Pfeifer, Robert

Auers, Albert, Adolph, Henry and Fred Renchin, and Thomas Burke; and sisters-in-law: Martha Styndl and Mary Burke.
