Virginia Hoeg, 81, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Virginia Hoeg of Albert Lea, Minn., will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 8, 2005, at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Alden, Minn. Pastor Peter Soli will officiate. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 4 until 7 at the Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel in Albert Lea, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Alden Cemetery.
Mrs. Hoeg died Friday morning, Aug. 5, 2005, at the Albert Lea Medical Center; she was 81 years of age.
Virginia was born Nov. 19, 1923, in Albert Lea, Minn., the daughter of Henry and Delia (Hegberg) Schaudt. She was a graduate of Alden High School.
On Feb. 20, 1942, she was united in marriage to Orville Hoeg and together they farmed near Alden until retirement in 1976. In 1994 they moved to Albert Lea. Orville and Virginia enjoyed their winters for twenty five years in Mission, Texas.
She enjoyed farming with her husband and they were true business partners. From 1967 until 1974 she worked for the Alden School District as a secretary.
Virginia was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Alden American Legion Auxiliary. She loved to watch the Minnesota Twins and the Vikings.
Virginia is survived by her children: Robert and his wife Muriel Hoeg of Albert Lea, Minn., Sue and her husband George Corsilia of Stamford, Conn. Grandchildren: Sarah Corsilia of New Canaan, Conn., Andrew (Karen) Corsilia of Ridgefield, Conn., Mark Hoeg and Scott Hoeg of Albert Lea, Minn. Great grandchildren: Jacob and Justine Corsilia of Ridgefield, Conn.
Also surviving are two sisters: Maxine (Howard) Sweet of Albert Lea, Minn., and Leona Sauer of Albert Lea, Minn. Two sisters in law: Ivo Reindal of San Clemente, Calif., and Violet Hoeg of Wells, Minn., and several nieces and nephews.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, husband Orville in 2004, sister Ardis Howser,
brother Carl Schaudt, and one granddaughter at birth.
She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren and many friends.
