Delores (Dee) Knudtson, age 70, of Minneapolis, died peacefully on July 24, 2005, after suffering a long battle of illnesses.

Delores was born in Austin in 1934 to Norvil (Bud) and Beatrice (Betty) Aulwes. She graduated in 1952 from Austin High School. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

Delores loved and enjoyed her children and grandchildren. Her passion was art, of which she was very talented. She also enjoyed playing pool and bingo.

Delores was preceded in death by both of her parents and her sister Marge. she is survived by her four children: Dawn (Brad) Skahen of Farmington, Minn.; Greg Knudtson of Minneapolis; Rob Knudtson of Minneapolis; and Deanne Nelson of Bloomington; one sister Shirley (Sal) Hannam of LeRoy, Minn.; and one brother Bill (MaryLou) Aulwes of Alaska; seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held in Apple Valley, Minn. at the Anderson Mortuary on July 29 and burial will be in LeRoy at the Lutheran Cemetary on Aug. 6 at 1 p.m. May God bless her memory.
