Ronald Claire Hanson, age 69, of Waseca died Monday, July 25, 2005, at his residence.
Born in Albert Lea on May 21, 1936, he was the son of Henry and Besse (Christenson) Hanson. He was raised in Albert Lea and graduated from Albert Lea High School. Following his schooling he served in the U.S. Army. He was then employed at the Albert Lea Airport as a machinist before attending Albert Lea Vocational School for refrigeration. Ronald married Marge Alexander in 1983 in Albert Lea and they moved to Gaylord. In 1985, they moved to Waldorf where he worked at Eisen’s Meats before working at Brown Printing Co. in Waseca. In 2003 they moved to Waseca to be near their grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and foster children.He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca.
He is survived by his wife, Marge of Waseca; four stepchildren: Mindy and Ted Hartgers of Wanamingo, Kristine and Adrian Reuvers of Faribault, Jim and Tracy Alexander of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Audra and Joe Veroeven of Waseca; and 12 grandchildren.
He is also survived by one sister, Judy Thompson of Albert Lea.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mona Olson; and two brothers: David and Roger Hanson.
Visitation will be held at Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca on Thursday, July 28, from 4 to 8 p.m., and continue on Friday one hour before services at the church.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 29, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca with the Rev. John Kunz officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Andrew’s Cemetery in Fairfax.
