Geneva Olson, 87, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Geneva (Neva) Isabelle Olson, of Albert Lea, will be held
1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 28, at Grace Lutheran Church. The Rev. Todd Walsh will officiate. Visitation will be held at Bonnerup Funeral Service Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m., and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mrs. Olson died Saturday, July 23, 2005, at her home in Albert Lea. She was 87 years of age.
Neva was born April 21, 1918, in the rural Clear Lake area of South Dakota, the daughter of Matt and Edith (Yocum) Crocker. She attended country school in South Dakota.
At the age of 14 she moved to Albert Lea where she resided the rest of her life. On April 24, 1939 she was united in marriage to Cecil Olson.
Neva was a charter member of the Grace Lutheran Church and was active in the mission circle. She was employed at Land-O-Lakes and was a waitress at the Albert Lea Truck Stop and the Elks Club, where she was also a member. Neva was a very avid bowler and enjoyed spending time with her bowling friends. She also enjoyed gardening and fishing.
Neva is survived by her children: Ronald and his wife Darlene Olson of Eagan, Minn., and Norman and his wife Leanne Olson of Rapid City, S.D. There are five grandchildren: Michelle (Mark) Wilcox, Ami Jo Olson, David (Whitney) Olson, Darin (Christy) Olson, and Jason Olson. Also surviving are great-grandchildren: Christian Wilcox, Katie Wilcox, Matthew Olson, Nicholas Olson, Ana Olson, Jackie Olson, Brittney Olson, Ryan Olson, and Madison Olson. One brother also survives, Ed (Donna Mae) Crocker of Sioux Falls, S.D.
Neva was preceded in death by her parents and 11 brothers and sisters.
