George Hendrickson, 75, Bloomington

George O. (Bud) Hendrickson, of Bloomington, age 75, passed away July 9, 2005, following a year long battle with bone cancer.

George grew up in Albert Lea. His father, George Hendrickson Sr., managed the Broadway and Rivoli Theaters for many years. George graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1947, served four years in the Air Force, then graduated from Mankato State College.

In 1951 George married Phyllis Ruble, of Albert Lea. George co-owned and operated Andy and George’s Auto Services in Bloomington. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, greatgrandfather and friend. His spirit will never leave the hearts of those who knew him.

He is survived by wife, Phyllis; sons; Willie (Carol), and Bob (Lisa); daughter, Kay (Allen) Naranjo; grandchildren: Jenny and Daniel Roesler, Jessie, Jake and Luke Hendrickson, Megan Schagrin, and Bryan and Todd Naranjo; great-grandchildren: Matthew, Rachel and James Schagrin; and sister, LaVerne Miller.

He was preceded in death by parents: George and Agnes Hendrickson; one sister; and father- and mother-in-law: Clifford and Dagmar Ruble.

A memorial service was held Wednesday, July 13, at Wooddale Church in Eden Prairie.
