Angeline Roalstad, 88, Kiester

Angeline &uot;Gale&uot; Roalstad, age 88, of Kiester, died Thursday, June 30, 2005, at the Parkview Care Center in Wells from complications of a stroke.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 2, at 11 a.m. at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, with the Rev. Dick Steffen officiating. Visitation will be held at funeral home on Saturday, from 9 to 11 a.m. (prior to service).
Interment will be in Our Savior’s Lutheran Cemetery in Kiester.
Angeline was born on Oct. 5, 1916, in Cuyuna, Minn. She grew up and attended school in the Crosby-Ironton area. She married John Wallskog in 1937 and they were later divorced. On Dec. 12, 1947, she married Gerald W. Roalstad in Elk River, Minn. She lived in California during World War II and moved to the Kiester area in 1954. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Kiester, the Kiester American Legion Auxiliary and the Wells VFW Auxiliary.
Angeline enjoyed traveling, cooking, and her garden.
She is survived by four sons: Terry Roalstad of Kiester, Jerome (wife Gwen) Wallskog of LeCenter, Dennis Wallskog of Elk River, and Wayne (wife Joan) Wallskog of Coon Rapids, Minn.; one stepdaughter, Vickie Rae (husband Norman) Ward of St. Paul; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and one sister, Jenny (husband Frank) Hoak of Butte, Mont.
Angeline was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Roalstad, in 1971; one son, Larry Roalstad, in 1991; and two brothers: Frankie and Louis Klun.
