The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday morning issued a temporary burning ban until further notice.

The ban includes any open burning. The ban may be lifted when conditions improve.

This is in compliance with conditions throughout the region and the State of Minnesota at this time.

No new burning permits shall be issued during the ban.
