Two wrecks block I-35 lanes

Two crashes within a 16 minute time span blocked the southbound lanes of Interstate 35 for a short time Thursday morning.
The first wreck reported by the Minnesota State Patrol took place at 7:14 a.m. Thursday when a semi rolled over into the right ditch. This resulted in the closure of the right lane of I-35 just south of the interchange with Interstate 90 for a short time. The patrol’s report indicted there were no injuries and the names of the people involved were not listed.
A second closure of the southbound lanes of I-35 took place at 7:30 a.m. Thursday near mile marker 10 and south of the East Main Street interchange. In this incident, a 1993 Ford Pickup towing a van on a dolley rolled and blocked both traffic lanes until 8:34 a.m. The driver of the pickup was listed as Mark A. Mason, 60, of Miami, Okla. The patrol’s report added he had no apparent injuries.
