In recognition of the 150th anniversary of the mustering of Co. F 4th Minnesota Volunteer Infantry Regiment in the Union Army during the Civil War, Freeborn County will host a special ceremony Oct. 11 at the Freeborn County Courthouse.
At 11 a.m., there will be a salute at the monument on the west lawn of the courthouse performed by the local American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Color Guard.
After the salute, there will be a ceremony in the first floor of the historic courthouse, where the Company F flag is on display.
The Freeborn County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday declared that day as Company F Day in Freeborn County.
