Jerald &uot;Jerry&uot; Warren Jensen, age 72, of Abilene, Texas, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2005.
Services were held 11 a.m. Tuesday art St. James Methodist Church with the Rev. Shane Brue officiating, under the direction of North’s Funeral Home. Visitation was 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at North’s Funeral Home, 242 Orange St.
Jerry was born to Logan and
Lucille Jensen on Oct. 28, 1932, in Lake Mills, Iowa. He was reared in Lake Mills and married Stella Wikoren on March 27, 1953, in Albert Lea. Jerry worked as a store manger at Thornton’s, T.G. & Y., Wal-Mart and H.E.B. He was a member of St. James Methodist Church and loved fishing, gardening, sports and his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella; parents; one daughter, baby Kim; and six siblings.
Survivors include two sons: Steven Jensen of Snellville, Ga., and Thomas Carl Jensen of Abilene, Texas; six daughters: Cynthia Ann Jensen of Abilene, Texas, Cheryl Lynn Jensen of Abilene, Texas, Teresa (T.K.) Jensen and Sara Wilson of Austin, Texas, Pamela Jean and Michael Bieniek of Marengo, Ill., Tammie Lynn Meador of Wheeling, Ill., and Sheila Rene Jensen of Lawrenceville, Ga.; one brother, Dean Jensen of Burnsville, Minn., two sisters: Wanda Bredeson of Forest City, Iowa, and Iola Sunie of Hamilton, Ala.; 13 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
