Funeral services for Larry D. Wyant, age 56, of Albert Lea will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 7, at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Curtis Zieske will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by area servicemen’s organizations. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Bayview.
Larry died on Saturday, April 2, 2005, at his home in Albert Lea.
Larry D. Wyant was born on January 28, 1949, in Albert Lea, the son of John and Florence (Yerhot) Wyant. He served in the US Army in Vietnam and after being wounded retired from the army. He then worked for Morreim Drainage for 23 years.
Larry loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, Zane his little buddy, and McKenzie his little rose. He also enjoyed taking care of his ten aquariums.
Survivors include Linda, his wife of 25 years; daughters: Lisa, and Becky and her special friend Andy Rolands; grandchildren: Zane and McKenzie; his mother, Florence Wyan; brothers: John, James (Colleen), and Frank (Janet) Wyant; sisters: Claire (Bruce) Christofferson, Judy (Roy) Schreiber, Patricia (Darrell) Vanderploug, Joy Johnson, and Diane (Larry) Solberg; mother-inlaw and father-in-law :Vince and Marilyn Thoreson of Blooming Prairie; sister-in-law, Cheryl (Roy) Olson; brothers-in-law: Wayne, Steve, Mike, and Keven Nelson; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Larry was preceded in death by his father; John; his grandparents; brothersin-law: Dale Johnson and Ray Nelson; and his nephew, J.J. Wyant.
