Mary Patricia Whelan was born Dec. 29, 1930, in Albert Lea, to Con and Adelaide Whelan, and passed away March 18, 2005. Pat was raised in Albert Lea where she graduated from high school in 1948. She briefly lived in Minneapolis before moving to Denver in 1954. Pat was employed by Trans-America Insurance for over 20 years. Pat loved to travel but was particularly fond of golf and bridge.

She is survived by her sisters Betty Rasmussen, Palatine, Ill., Nobie Hurley and Carol Gustafson, Albuquerque, N.M., and 12 loving nieces and nephews. We love you Aunt Pat! She is also survived by many good friends, including Jay Breen. Pat was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Tom. Cremation has taken place. A memorial Mass will be Monday at 9:15 a.m. at Church of the Risen Christ, 3060 S. Monaco Pkwy., Denver. Interment will be held in Albert Lea at a later date.
