Accident closes I-35 Friday

A semi truck going north on Interstate 35 hit the Highway 251 bridge overpass on Interstate 35, which exits to Clarks Grove, at approximately 11:25 a.m. Friday. This area is about 7 miles north of Albert Lea.
Duwayne Hunt, 34, of Ramsey, was driving the truck. He was not wearing a seat belt. Hunt was transferred by ambulance to the Albert Lea Medical Center and was then taken to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Hunt had one passenger, Marvin Sheevy, 60, of Mason City. He was not wearing a seat belt and was transported by ambulance to ALMC.
All northbound traffic on Interstate 35 was closed for approximately four hours Friday while maintenance crews removed the wreckage.
The accident is still under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol.
