Lois Bjerke went to be with her Lord and Savior on Feb. 6, 2005.

She was born on Oct. 12, 1930, to Lena and Rudolph Christensen in Springfield, Minn.

Lois married Orville R. Bjerke on Aug. 23, 1953 in Albert Lea. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and painting. Lois and her husband, Orville, enjoyed living in various parts of the country during Orville’s semi-retirement with the 3-M Company. Lois was also a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hastings, Minn.

She is preceded by her parents and one brother, Donald Christensen.

Lois is survived by her husband, Orville, of the home; one sister, Verlaine Kittelson of

Minneapolis; one son, Scott Bjerke and wife Carolyn of

Kingfisher, Okla.; one daughter, Gwen Willits and husband Dan of Fairview, Okla.; and four grandchildren: Clayton Bjerke, Macci Lovell and husband Austen, Douglas Willits and Marci Prince.

She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service for Lois will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with the interment following at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Oklahoma City.
