There have been many changes in occupations in the Albert Lea area.

Some of these lines of employment either no longer exist or have sustained significant changes through the years. For example, delivery services now use motorized vehicles instead of horse-drawn wagons to make their assigned rounds.

As old-fashioned as some of those prior lines of work may now appear, they provided the essential incomes to support many area families.
