Eric Thomas Aguilera, age 28, of 516 First St. N.E., Mason City, Iowa, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15,

at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manly, Iowa, with the Rev. David Kucera officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, with a public scriptural wake service at 6 p.m., at the Bride Colonial Chapel, Manly. Following the funeral mass and according to his wishes his body will be cremated.

Eric Thomas Aguilera was born on Nov. 23, 1976, in Mason City, the son of Thomas and Jackie (Anderson) Aguilera. Eric grew up in Manly until he moved to Hollandale to be with his dad. He attended and received his education in the Ellendale schools and graduated from NRHEG High School in 1995 in New Richland. Eric enjoyed his family and the large family gatherings.

His interests were cooking and photography. Eric planned on going to college for horticulture in the fall.

Left to cherish his memory is his father; Tom Aguilera and his wife Jan of Ellendale; his mother, Jackie Fromm of Mason City; his brother; Brett Fromm of Indiana; paternal grandma, Trina Aguilera of Manly; paternal grandfather; Francis Peak of Hollandale, maternal grandmother; Betty Anderson of Mason City; and a special friend, Cassie Hill of Mason City.

Eric will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Troy; and two grandfathers: Joseph Aguilera and Otis Anderson.
