Kenneth Fredrick ‘Bud’ Wacholz, 80, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Kenneth F. Wacholz, age 80, of rural Albert Lea, will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 20, at the First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea.
The Rev. Dan Baker will officiate.
Interment will be in the Bear Lake Concordia Cemetery.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Sunday, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at the church.

Kenneth died Friday, Dec. 17, 2004, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Kenneth Fredrick Wacholz was born July 27, 1924, to Fredrick J. and Florence E. (Fink) Wacholz in Pickerel Lake Township.
He was baptized and confirmed at Bear Lake Concordia Lutheran Church.
Bud lived his entire life on the farm where he was born, which had been designated a &uot;Century Farm.&uot;
On June 10, 1941, he was united in marriage to Loretta Rebelein in Northwood.
Bud was a truly dedicated dairy farmer and a member of First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea.
He enjoyed polka music and, after his stroke, watching game shows on television.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta of Albert Lea; daughter, Gail Toenges of Alden; son, Freddie and his wife, Sheryl Wacholz of Albert Lea; grandchildren, Lynn Toenges, Amy and her husband, Jeff Kelley, Sara Wacholz, and Matt Wacholz; great-grandchildren, Paige and Austen Kelley; sister, Betty and her husband, Sid Kvale of Prescott, Ariz.; sisters-in-law: Geraldine Sauke of Albert Lea, Marilyn and her husband, Kenneth Haukoos of Walters, and Freida Rebelein of Wells; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Jon Wacholz; son-in-law, Clifton Toenges; and sister, Veloris in infancy.
