Magellan resumes gasoline distribution

Published 1:43 pm Monday, October 17, 2011

Around noon today, Magellan Midstream Partners resumed loading operations for all grades of gasoline at its petroleum distribution terminal in Mankato.

“Loading operations were suspended one week ago due to an operational issue, which allowed the distribution of gasoline with a high ethanol content that exceeded the state specification. We have implemented additional measures to ensure the gasoline distributed from our facility meets state specifications,” the company states in a news release.

“Virtually all of the remaining gasoline with high ethanol content which was distributed into the local marketplace last weekend has been recaptured and replaced with gasoline meeting the state standards. Once again, Magellan apologizes for the incident and for the inconveniences and concerns that resulted from it.”
