Theodora 0. Olson, age 88, formerly of Albert Lea, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2004, at the Syverson Lutheran Home in Eau Claire, Wis.

Theodora was born on Oct. 4, 1915, in Manly, Iowa, to the late Theodore and Manda (Babcock) Olson. She attended Albert Lea High School and later moved to Minneapolis. Theodora retired from J.C. Penny after 52 years of service.

She is survived by her nieces: Gloria (William) Fennell of Eau Claire, Wis., Judy (Robert) Olinger of Ames, Iowa, and

Julie (Gary) Newberg of Blomkest, Minn.; nephew, Gary Grunwald of New Market, Minn.; sister-in-law, Mildred Olson of Albert Lea; special great-nephew, Aron Fennell of Eau Claire, Wis.; and three great-nephews and five great-nieces.

She was preceded in death by sisters: Isabelle Hanson, and Edna Mae Grunwald; and brother, Dewitt Olson.

A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Syverson Lutheran Home in Eau Claire with the Rev. Andrew Boe officiating. There will be private interment. The Evergreen Funeral Home, Eau Claire, is serving the family.
