If you can’t find something fun to do in Albert Lea and Freeborn County this weekend, there’s something very wrong.
We’re entering one of the busiest weekends of the year, and people have spent countless hours of their time preparing fun activities in the hopes people will come out and celebrate with them.
In Emmons, it’s Borderfest, with entertainment, a parade of marching bands, races and relays and more.
Here in Albert Lea, we have the Gus Macker Tournament at Northbridge Mall and, if that weren’t enough, Eddie Cochran Weekend, which is jammed packed with events, including an old car cruise, car show, and street dance, just to name a few things.
And don’t forget &uot;Take A Kid Fishing Day,&uot; organized by the Fountain Lake Sportsmen’s Club. Hundreds of people turn out to give kids a taste of fishing.
There are also pancake breakfasts, breakfast sundaes at the farmers’ market and so much more.
Thank the people who organize these events by attending them.
And have some fun.
