Memorial services for Gerry R. Lieske, age 75, of Austin, will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 11, at the Moscow Lutheran Church. The Rev. LaDonna Ekern will officiate. Interment will be in the Brown Cemetery, Henderson, Minn.

Gerry died Monday, June 7, 2004, at St. John’s Lutheran Home.

Gerry R. Lieske was born April 25, 1929, to Edgar H. and Anne (Hoppenstadt) Schrupp in Faribault. She graduated from Henderson High School and Mankato State College with a teaching degree. On July 7, 1961, Gerry was united in marriage to Virgil A. Lieske in Henderson. She was a very active member of Moscow Lutheran Church. Gerry especially enjoyed quilting and cooking and was very involved in the Haitian Mercy and Sharing Organization. Her family and grandchildren were very important to her.

Survivors include her husband, Virgil; children: Robert E. Lieske, Richard J. and his wife Cathy Lieske, Joel A. and his wife Marcia Lieske, Jeannine M. and her husband Jim Hagedon, Peter D. and his wife Maureen Lieske, and Raphael J. Lieske; nine grandchildren; sister, Virginia and her husband Frank Heutmaker; niece, Debbie and her husband Bill Roberts; and nephew, Greg and his wife Pam Heutmaker.

Gerry was preceded in death by her parents.
