The funeral service for Martha O. Anderson will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 14, at Grace Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. The Rev. John Henrikson will officiate. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Emmons. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea, and one hour before service at the church.

Martha died Tuesday morning, June 8, 2004, at the Albert Lea Medical Center. She was 86 years of age.

Martha Odell Marriott was born on Nov. 1, 1917, to Alfred and Clara (Christiansen) Marriott in Lake Mills, Iowa. After her father died in 1925 she lived with her grandparents, Charles & Sarah Christensen. She graduated from Lake Mills High School. She married

Adrian Anderson on June 20, 1940, at Salem Lutheran Church in Lake Mills, Iowa.

She and Adrian farmed on the family farm in Silver Lake Township for about 25 years moving to Albert Lea in 1968. She worked at Green Lea Golf course, Swen’s Bakery and St. Johns Nursing Home before her retirement.

Martha and Adrian enjoyed going to auctions, camping and fishing. She had a large collection of antiques, tea pots and teddy bears. She was also a member of the Moose Club.

Left to mourn her are three sons: Marlin and Carolyn Anderson of Clear Lake, Iowa, and their children: Michelle and Matt Balek and sons, Bryon and Brandon of New Bern, N.C., Jeffrey and Rochelle Anderson and daughters, Niki and Dallas of Medford, Minn.; son, Richard and Betty Anderson of Albert Lea and their children: David Anderson and Anastasia of Albert Lea, Sherry and Michael Darling and children, Ashley and Nathaniel of Decorah, Iowa, Thomas Anderson and Laurel Mikulich and sons, Tyler and Cody of Superior, Wis., Teresa and Dennis Raatz and daughter, Megan of Albert Lea; son, Raymond and Bonnie Anderson of Albert Lea and their children: Alan and Danielle and Adrian of Albert Lea, Crystal Anderson and Amy Anderson of Albert Lea; and sisters: Ellnora Willand of Northwood, Iowa, Lorna Anderson of Albert Lea, and Hazel Anderson of Albert Lea.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian Anderson (Jan. 13, 1996); infant daughter, Marcella, in 1942; parents: Alfred and Clara (Verbunker) Marriott; half sister, Florance Adele and

Amos Heins; half brothers: Charles and Hazel Marriott, and Thomas Marriott; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Walter Willand, Roscellia and

Orlo Hagenson, Waldemar Anderson, Malmin and Anna Anderson, Arthur and Norma Anderson and William Anderson.
