Baseball Rebels stay alive in section

The New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva Panthers are.
The Rebels, whose Thursday loss in the Section 2A Baseball Tournament was reported as season-ending in the Tribune, remained alive on the consolation bracket with a 9-2 victory over NRHEG at LeSueur Saturday.
USC was to play again today in the double-elimination tourney. NRHEG finished the season 18-7.
Adam Schrader had the hot bat for USC, going 4-for-4 with a double and three RBIs. Shea Kaiser was 2-for-5 with a triple, Nate Steckelberg 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Kenny Sandt, Brandon Haugh, Jerrad Honstad and Callan Pitcher added one hit each.
The Panthers had two hits, by Paul Johnson and Nick Christensen.
Schrader pitched all seven innings for USC. Johnson took the loss for NRHEG.
