Hatleli, Beverly Boone and Betty Jones had attended the First District Auxiliary meeting at Rochester Post No. 1215 and reported on information received there. District President Patricia Sable of Owatonna presided.

The charter was draped for auxiliary sister, Hazel Wangen.

On Oct. 7 Sonia Tatge, past first district president, and Laurie Dale, Department auxiliary senior vice president, visited with several No. 447 auxiliary members for lunch and a department membership pick up. The group was reminded that after Dec. 15 the auxiliary will have to send an additional $5 to the department for dues to support veteran and hospital programs. Please, if you are able, the group would appreciate receiving the $15 dues before that date so they will have that extra $5 in our coffers for 2012. Remember personal cancer benefits from the auxiliary end on Dec. 31 if the group hasn’t been able to forward the per capita.

Betty Jones won the door prize, and lunch was served by Marcia Petersen.

The next meeting will be at the Legion hall on Nov. 8 at 7 p.m.

Please note: The Post No. 447 will be having the usual menu breakfast at the Legion Hall from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, and also on Sunday, Nov. 6. They’re asking for help serving and set up from the auxiliary if you’d like to volunteer. The post does help the auxiliary with projects.
