Mildred E. Wolff, 82, Glenville

Funeral services for Mildred E. Wolff, age 82, of Glenville, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 8, at the First Lutheran Church of Glenville. The Rev. Mark Wendland will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 7, at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Millie died on Sunday morning, Jan. 4, 2004, at St. Johns Lutheran Home.
Mildred Evelyn Wolff was born on April 17, 1921, in Albert Lea, the daughter of Henry and Stella (Madson) Means. She was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. Millie graduated from Albert Lea High School. On Dec. 31, 1940, Millie was united in marriage to LaVerne Wolff at First Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. Millie was a homemaker and had worked for Wilson’s and Montgomery Wards. Millie was a member of First Lutheran Church of Glenville and was active in the Ladies Aid and as Sunday School Superintendent. She was a member of the Glenville American Legion Auxiliary, the VFW Auxiliary, and Tops 979 of Albert Lea.
Survivors include her husband, LaVerne of Glenville; children: Rosalie Rolands of Glenville, Barbara and her husband Dave Reckard of Mountain Home, Ark., L. Phillip and his wife Rosemary Wolff of Albert Lea, Diane and her husband Glenn Hulburt of Waterville, and David and his wife Terri Wolff of Brooklyn Center; grandchildren: Deborah and her husband Lance Engebretson, Terri Gaines, Bill Gaines and his special friend Paula Book, Mike and his wife Tammy Gaines, Andy and his wife Amy Rolands, Matt and his wife Rikki Johnson, Mark and his wife Jenny Johnson, Shawn and his wife Janice Wolff, Jason and his wife Julie Wolff, Serenity Wolff, Lora and her husband Chuck Root, Glenn and his wife Tammy Hulburt, and John and his wife Tami Hulburt; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Beverly Boone of Albert Lea, Phyllis and her husband Jim Phillips of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Joy and her husband Byrine Christian of Albert Lea; brothers: Dean Means of Albert Lea, and Frank Means of Albert Lea; and nieces and nephews.
Millie was preceded in death by her parents; her mother-in-law and father-in-law; her sister, Donna Estebo; sister-in-law, Lora Means; brothers-in-law: Chessele Boone, Sid Estebo, and Paul Gillian; and her sons-in-law: Lloyd Gaines and Duane Rolands.
